St. Petersburg resident beat his acquaintance to death with a metal stick

In St. Petersburg, a man beat his acquaintance to death with a metal stick. This was reported in the main investigative department of the Investigative Committee of Russia in the city on November 19.

According to the investigation, the incident occurred on November 16 in an apartment on Korolev Avenue. The defendant during the conflict inflicted multiple blows to his acquaintance with a metal stick. He also beat the woman with his fists. The victim died at the scene.

Law enforcement authorities on the fact of the incident initiated a criminal case under part 4 of article 111 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("Intentional infliction of serious harm to health, causing the death of the victim by negligence").

"The figurant was charged, during interrogation he admitted his guilt. The investigation intends to petition the court to elect a preventive measure against him in the form of detention," - stated in the Telegram-channel of the Department.

Earlier, on November 12, in Moscow, a subway passenger beat a man to death. The victim was hospitalized in serious condition, a few days later he died in hospital. On the fact of the incident a criminal case was initiated. The attacker was detained.
