The maximum of solar activity in 2025 will fall on the summer period. This was announced on Tuesday, November 19, by the head of the laboratory of solar astronomy IKI RAS Sergey Bogachev.

"2025, according to model calculations, is the most likely year of maximum solar activity. There are different scenarios, but most of them point to the spring-summer of next year as the time of the expected peak," RIA Novosti quoted him as saying.

The scientist noted that the peak of solar activity in the current year was in August. Despite the solar calm in November, an increase in activity is expected in the near future. He pointed out that an accurate forecast of flares and magnetic storms is impossible, but a sharp increase in the current level of activity is unlikely.

Bogachev said that solar activity in early 2025 will be at the level of late 2024, gradually increasing until it peaks in late spring/early summer (with possible flares up to X10). It will then decline toward the end of the year, but remain above average through 2026, and possibly into 2028.

On November 7, Ekaterina Demyanovskaya, a neurologist and expert physician at the Gemotest laboratory, told Izvestia that electromagnetic fields can affect the work of the autonomic nervous system. She noted that general health promotion helps to weaken the impact of storms on the body, such as simple exercises, walks in the fresh air, and regular drinking of sufficient water.
