A series of meetings "Lesson with a Star" takes place in Moscow art schools

Since the beginning of the academic year in the capital's children's schools and art colleges there has been a series of meetings "Lesson with a Star". With famous musicians and artists, artists and designers have already met more than 1.5 thousand children, said Deputy Mayor Natalia Sergunina.

"Famous cultural figures have already held 16 classes. Young talents had an opportunity to communicate with such stars as Yuri Bashmet, Igor Butman and Nadezhda Babkina. The format of the open lessons appealed to the children and interested the representatives of the creative sphere of the capital. Until the end of the year there will be several more events, including those devoted to the shooting of New Year shows", - Sergunina noted.

Igor Butman visited the Moscow City Children's Music School named after Dunayevsky. He told how he learned to play the saxophone and shared stories from his touring life.

Yuri Bashmet met with pupils of the Ludwig van Beethoven Children's Music School. He, in particular, offered the listeners to play the piano four hands.

Nadezhda Babkina held an open lesson for the folklore department of the Odoevsky Children's Music School. The meeting was about the folk genre.

The S.I. Taneyev Children's Music School hosted a meeting with Ivan Rudin, General Director of the Zaryadye Concert Hall and Artistic Director of the Moscow State Symphony Orchestra. He shared his memories of his studies at the Moscow Gnessin Secondary Specialized Music School and his experience of managing a large creative team.

People's Artist of the USSR Alexander Shilov gave the project participants a tour of his gallery. The author told about the techniques of painting portraits and landscapes, and also shared stories of creation of some paintings.

Until the end of the year the children are waiting for a number of other events. For example, young citizens will learn about organizing festivals, preparing ice shows and shooting New Year's Eve programs for television.
