The Defense Ministry reported the destruction of 12 UAVs over the Bryansk region and one over the Belgorod region

Russian air defense forces of the Russian Defense Ministry have detected and destroyed 12 unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) of the aircraft type over the territory of the Bryansk Region and another one over the Belgorod Region. This was reported by the Russian Defense Ministry on November 19.

"Between 7:15 and 8:35 Moscow time, an attempt by the Kiev regime to carry out a terrorist attack with the use of aircraft-type UAVs on objects on the territory of the Russian Federation was foiled. 12 Ukrainian UAVs were destroyed over the territory of the Bryansk region and one over the territory of the Belgorod region," the ministry said in a statement.

The governor of the Bryansk region, Alexander Bogomaz, noted in his Telegram channel that air defense forces had detected and destroyed six Ukrainian drones over the region, followed by two more enemy drones.

"Air defense units continue their work to protect our region. <...> There are no casualties or destruction. Operational and emergency services are working on the spot," - said the head of the region.

Earlier in the day Bogomaz reported on the suppression by air defense forces of an attempted attack by a Ukrainian drone on the Bryansk region. There were no casualties and destruction at the site of the drone's destruction.

At the same time, the Russian Defense Ministry said that air defense forces destroyed eight Ukrainian drones over the territory of the Bryansk Region and one over the Kursk Region in 30 minutes. Shortly before that, the ministry said that two drones of Ukrainian militants had been shot down over the Belgorod Region and two over the Bryansk Region. It was specified that the terrorist attack was foiled between 19:10 and 19:25 Moscow time.

The same day Bogomaz noted that air defense forces had detected and destroyed 26 Ukrainian drones over the territory of the Bryansk region.

Ukraine 's armed forces are trying to strike Russian territories against the backdrop of the special operation in Donbass, the start of which was announced on February 24, 2022. The decision was taken due to the aggravation of the situation in the region due to shelling by the Ukrainian military.
