Air defense forces foiled an attempted UAV attack in the Bryansk Region

Russian air defense forces of the Russian Defense Ministry have detected and destroyed an unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) of the aircraft type on the territory of the Bryansk Region. This was reported by the governor of the region Alexander Bogomaz on November 19.

"An attempt by the Kiev regime to carry out a terrorist attack with the use of UAVs on the territory of the Bryansk region has been suppressed," he pointed out in his Telegram channel.

As noted by the head of the region, there are no casualties and destruction at the site of the drone's destruction. The consequences are being eliminated by operational and emergency services.

On November 18, the Russian Defense Ministry reported that air defense forces destroyed eight Ukrainian drones over the territory of the Bryansk region and one over the Kursk region in 30 minutes. Shortly before that, the Defense Ministry reported two downed drones of Ukrainian militants over the Belgorod Region and two over the Bryansk Region. It was specified that the terrorist attack was foiled between 19:10 and 19:25 Moscow time.

The same day Bogomaz noted that the air defense forces detected and destroyed 26 Ukrainian drones over the territory of Bryansk region. The work of air defense means to repel the attack by Ukrainian drones continues, he added.

Ukraine 's armed forces are trying to strike Russian territories against the backdrop of the special operation in Donbass, the start of which was announced on February 24, 2022. The decision was made due to the aggravation of the situation in the region due to shelling by the Ukrainian military.
