Marochko stated about the possibility of encirclement of the AFU on the Svatovsko-Kremensky section

Ukraine 's Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) may find themselves surrounded on the Svatovsko-Kremensky direction, military expert, retired lieutenant colonel of the Lugansk People's Republic (LPR) Andrei Marochko said on November 19, citing his own sources.

"A new fire bag for Ukraine's armed formations is being formed on the Svatovsko-Kremeni section," he told RIA Novosti.

According to Marochko, a serious threat of encirclement of the Ukrainian grouping east of Yampolovka is posed by the Russian army's advance in Terny and northeast of Torskoye.

He noted that in this area it has become difficult for the Ukrainian command to supply its units due to the dense fire influence of the Russian Armed Forces.

Earlier in the day, Marochko said that Russian fighters managed to increase their strike force on the outskirts of Kupyansk in Kharkiv region and expand the zone of control in the north of the locality. In turn, the artillerymen of the 14th Brigade of the 51st Army of the Donetsk Corps of the Russian Armed Forces told about the advancement in the Kurakhov direction.

The special operation to protect Donbass, the start of which was announced by Russian President Vladimir Putin on February 24, 2022, continues. The decision was made against the backdrop of the worsening situation in the region.
