Air defense forces shot down 12 Ukrainian UAVs over Rostov and Belgorod regions

The Russian Air Defense Forces intercepted and destroyed 12 unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) of the Ukrainian Armed Forces (AFU) over the territories of Rostov and Belgorod regions overnight. This was reported by the Russian Defense Ministry on November 19.

"Intercepted and destroyed 11 Ukrainian UAVs over the territory of Rostov region and one - over the territory of Belgorod region", - stated in the message of the department.

It is noted that the Kiev regime's attempt to commit a terrorist attack with the use of UAVs of airplane type was suppressed by on-duty air defense means.

Earlier in the day, the acting governor of Rostov region announced the elimination of 11 UAVs over the region. Also on this day, Slyusar reported that after the fall of one of the drones there was an explosion, as a result of which a truck driver was injured on the highway in the Belokalitva district. The man was taken to hospital.

The Armed Forces of Ukraine are trying to strike Russian territories against the background of the special operation in Donbass, the beginning of which was announced on February 24, 2022. The decision was taken due to the aggravation of the situation in the region due to shelling by the Ukrainian military.
