Ukrainian media reported explosions near the city of Cherkasy

Explosions were heard in Ukraine near the city of Cherkasy amid an air alert. This was reported on November 19 by the Ukrainian publication "Public".

"Near Cherkassy and in the vicinity of the city is working air defense," - stated in a message in the Telegram-channel.

According to the online map of the Ministry of Digital Transformation of Ukraine, in Zhytomyr, Cherkasy, Poltava, Sumy, Kirovograd, Chernihiv, Dnipropetrovsk, Kyiv, Vinnitsa, Mykolayiv regions declared an air alert.

The Russian Defense Ministry did not comment on the information about the explosions.

Earlier in the day, Ukrainian media reported about explosions in the Kiev area. An air alert was in effect in the city.

Russian troops in October 2022 began strikes on military facilities and related energy and communications facilities in Ukraine. As Russian President Vladimir Putin explained, this was in response to terrorist actions by the Kiev regime.
