Serial production of mobile shelters "KUB-M" started in Russia

Production of mobile shelters "KUB-M" developed by the All-Russian Research Institute for Civil Defense and Emergency Situations (VNII GOCHS) has started in Nizhny Novgorod region for the first time. This was reported on November 18 on the website of VNII GOCHS.
"The production process unfolded in the city of Dzerzhinsk, located in the Nizhny Novgorod region. This event was the result of many years of research and efforts of scientists and experts in the field of protection of population and territories from emergency situations," - stated in the message.
It is specified that the mobile shelter "KUB-M" is able to protect a person from natural disasters, man-made accidents, radiation and air shock waves.
It can accommodate 54 people and a technical unit and protect people for 48 hours. It is also possible to increase the capacity by adding additional modules.
Transportation and installation of the shelter is carried out by road and rail transport and is much cheaper than the creation of stationary structures.
Earlier, on May 31, on the federal portal of draft regulatory legal acts stated that mobile shelters of modular type may appear in Russia to protect the population from the impact of modern weapons, including nuclear weapons.
