The "Vostok" troop grouping disrupted the rotation and advancement of AFU reserves in the SSE zone

Units of the Vostok group of troops have disrupted the rotation and advancement of reserves of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) and improved their positions. This was reported by Oleg Chekhov, a representative of the grouping, to Interfax on November 19 .

"In the course of active actions, the units of the grouping improved the position along the leading edge, stopped the enemy from reinforcing the forward positions, conducting rotations, advancing reserves and bringing in ammunition in the areas of Ostrovskoye, Razliv and Novodorovka. We disrupted the actions of the engineering group in the area of Mirny," the agency quoted him as saying.

Chekhov said that the artillery of the Russian Armed Forces with the support of heavy flamethrower systems hit strongholds and places of accumulation of manpower and equipment of the 102nd, 108th, 113th, 129th brigades of territorial defense of the AFU in the areas of Gulyaypol, Velyka Novoselka, Sukhikh Yalov, Komsomolskoye and Zaliznichnoye. At the same time, in the Novovodarivka area, the fighters repelled an attack by assault groups of the 32nd Motorized Infantry Brigade.

In addition, the Ukrainian militants lost more than 130 servicemen during the day. Military units of the Vostok group of forces destroyed a HIMARS multiple rocket launcher, a Humvee armored fighting vehicle, an M777 towed howitzer, an Acacia self-propelled artillery unit, a supply point, an electronic warfare station, two vehicles and eight aircraft-type drones.

Earlier, on November 18, Uragan multiple-launch rocket systems (MLRS) of the artillery of the Vostok group of troops hit a cluster of enemy equipment in the South Donetsk direction.

The special operation to protect Donbass, the start of which was announced by Russian President Vladimir Putin on February 24, 2022, continues. The decision was taken in connection with the aggravation of the situation in the region.
