Artillerymen told about the advance of the Russian Armed Forces in the Kurakhov direction of the Strategic Defense Forces of Russia

Servicemen of the 14th Kalmius Artillery Brigade of the 51st Army of the Donetsk Corps of the Russian Armed Forces (AF) have advanced in the Kurakhov direction of the special military operation (SMO).

"The offensive continues, and the assault aircraft have already gone forward. Dead Ukrainian militants are lying on the roadsides, and our heavy artillery has already rolled over here and continues to support the offensive with fire," Izvestia correspondent Dmitry Astrakhan said.

Russian artillery is daily destroying Ukrainian Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) fighters' manpower, shelters, dugouts and NATO equipment.

"I see that we are moving very quickly. This is very good. I believe that it is not necessary to give rest to the enemy to continue at the same pace," said an artillery platoon commander with the call sign Melnyk.

Because the enemy's artillery activity is low, the AFU fighters compensate by attacking with unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs).

In order to secure their equipment from enemy drone attacks, Russian artillerymen use special camouflage for their guns and metal nets, which are capable of stopping drone attacks. The fighters also have various weapons at their disposal that can deactivate the drone.

The commander of the gun with the call sign Tehnik noted that thanks to the coordinated work of attackers and artillerymen, the offensive in the Kurakhov direction is taking place at a rapid pace.

Earlier, on November 18, the Russian Defense Ministry reported that Uragan multiple-launch rocket systems (MLRS) of the artillery of the Vostok group of troops hit a cluster of AFU equipment in the South Donetsk direction.

The special operation to protect Donbass, the beginning of which Russian President Vladimir Putin announced on February 24, 2022, continues. The decision was made in connection with the aggravation of the situation in the region.
