- An additional section of the FFM in the south of Moscow will be completed in 2026

In the south of Moscow an additional section of the Moscow High-Speed Diameter (MHD) is planned to be completed in 2026. This was announced by the mayor of the capital Sergey Sobyanin in his Telegram-channel on Monday, November 18.
According to him, the reconstruction of Kaspiyskaya Street, which will become part of the FFM, will improve traffic in six districts in the south of the capital. The project, as the official emphasized, is complex and involves the construction of several overpasses, tunnels and interchanges, writes NSN.
Sobyanin emphasized that the highway will reduce the load on the sections of the FFM from the projected passage № 5108 to Kantemirovskaya street, Kantemirovskaya and Kaspiyskaya streets, notes RIAMO. The length of the new six-lane highway will be about 4 km. It will reduce travel time by an average of seven minutes, will improve transportation services for about 700 thousand citizens, the website kp.ru specifies.
Completion of construction works on the site is scheduled for 2026, writes the agency of city news "Moscow". At the same time in 2025 specialists intend to reach Lipetsk street. In the course of construction will be carried out reconstruction of the adjacent street and road network.
The construction of an additional section of the FFM started in August 2023, recalls the site aif.ru.
On September 5, Sergei Sobyanin opened the link road between the FFM and Simferopol highway. According to him, thanks to the completion of works, "motorists got a direct exit from the FFM in the direction of the region" - there the traffic-free highway goes parallel to the tracks of MCD-2.
