"Izvestia" asked the Stanislavsky and Nemirovich-Danchenko Musical Theater (MAMT) to comment on the pricing of the ballet "The Nutcracker".
.

"The ballet "The Nutcracker" belongs to the productions of high demand, and the prices for it are indeed higher than for most MAMT productions. Nevertheless, the theater strives to keep tickets affordable even for such hits and offers different price categories. This can be seen in the first days after the opening of sales. For example, this season ticket prices for the ballet "The Nutcracker" at the stage of the start of sales started from 3 thousand rubles, and for two other traditionally popular in the winter period productions - "The Snow Maiden" and "Winter Evening in Chamonix" - from 1 thousand and 1.2 thousand rubles, respectively, "- said in the press service of the theater.

As explained in the MAMT, pricing is dictated, among other things, by the consolidated position of the theater community to combat resellers. The theater also noted that the MAMT has adopted a regulation on the sale of tickets at preferential prices, which applies to all performances of the repertoire, including the most box-office. Only premiere shows are an exception.

In order not to become a victim of speculators, the press service recommended buying tickets for the theater's events on the official website or at the MAMT box office.
