Nutritionist nutritionist Sofia Kovanova pointed out the danger of overeating beet, cabbage and pumpkin for health.

In a conversation with aif.ru on November 17, the specialist noted that excessive consumption of these vegetables can provoke negative consequences for digestion. According to the doctor, pumpkin, beets and cabbage contain a lot of nitrates, especially a lot of them in the tails of vegetables and near them.

"If well processed and eat a little - the problem will not be, but if you overeat, there can be negative consequences for digestion," - warned the nutriciologist.

These included flatulence, pancreatic dysfunction and enzyme deficiency.

Kovanova urged people with diabetes to avoid beets and pumpkins, as these vegetables have a high glycemic index, especially after boiling or baking.

On November 15, nutritionist Irina Baranova warned that beets are contraindicated in certain diseases, such as urolithiasis, gout, iron deficiency anemia and hypotension, Pravda.Ru writes.

On the same day, nutritionist Natalia Denisova urged to exclude beets, citrus fruits, spinach, parsley and legumes from the diet to prevent gout exacerbation, as they lead to the formation of the most common types of kidney stones - oxalates, RT notes.
