- Iskander missile defense system launcher strikes AFU military facilities in the SSE zone

The Iskander operational-tactical missile system of the Zapad group of forces has struck military infrastructure facilities of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) in the zone of the special military operation. The Russian Defense Ministry published images of the combat work on November 19, the Day of Rocket Troops and Artillery.
According to the ministry, the missileers work on the enemy's targets in any weather. Also, the complex works effectively in lowlands or from a forest clearing, it does not need to be on an elevated or open area during combat work. Iskander missile divisions are on round-the-clock combat duty and are ready to work on targets on command. The Iskander missile defense systems are precision weapons with a range of up to 500 kilometers. Both ballistic and cruise missiles are used, from which no enemy can escape, the Russian Defense Ministry said.
Russian fighters emphasize that it takes literally a few minutes from the receipt of target coordinates to combat operation. At the same time, the multi-ton hauler of the Iskander missile launcher easily passes over any terrain, which saves the lives of missileers and the launcher itself when it is necessary to quickly leave the position.
It is noted that the Iskander super-precision complex is unparalleled in the world in terms of its equipment and variability of use.
"My tasks are to launch a single or group missile strike into the enemy's operational and tactical depth against such targets as enemy command posts, an accumulation of enemy manpower, important enemy infrastructure, airfields and an accumulation of manpower on it," said the chief of the Iskander missile defense system's calculation with the call sign Igla.
Earlier, on October 6, the Russian Defense Ministry said that Russian servicemen had liquidated a sea container ship with ammunition of the AFU in the port of Yuzhny in Odessa Region with the help of the Iskander-M missile system.
The special operation to protect Donbass, the start of which Russian President Vladimir Putin announced on February 24, 2022, continues. The decision was made against the backdrop of the worsening situation in the region.
