Civilian killed in AFU drone attack on car in Kursk region

A civilian was killed when a drone of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) attacked a passenger car in Bolshezoldatsky district of Kursk Region. This was reported by the governor of the region Alexei Smirnov on November 18.

"This afternoon on the territory of Bolshezoldatsky district as a result of an attack by a Ukrainian drone on a passenger car a civilian was killed - the wounds received were incompatible with life," he wrote in his Telegram-channel.

Smirnov expressed condolences to the family and friends of the deceased.

Earlier, on November 17, Governor Smirnov reported the death of the editor-in-chief of the "People's newspaper" Yulia Kuznetsova as a result of a drone attack by the AFU. It is specified that the operator of "Narodnaya Gazeta" and a district police commissioner were injured. They were taken to hospital.

The special operation to protect Donbass, the beginning of which Russian President Vladimir Putin announced on February 24, 2022, continues. The decision was taken against the backdrop of the worsening situation in the region.
