On November 19, the Russian Defense Ministry told about the exploits of Russian servicemen in the zone of the special military operation (SMO)

As the ministry pointed out, Private Vladimir Pulyaev as part of a unit carried out a combat mission to hold positions at an important tactical line. The Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU), seeking to regain control of the positions lost during the fighting, concentrated infantry assault groups and attempted to break through the defensive lines of the Russian troops. Pulyaev, being in defense, competently acted in combat in his area of responsibility. Constantly moving and occupying favorable firing positions, Vladimir conducted aimed small arms fire at the advancing militants.

In the course of repelling the attack, one of the Russian servicemen received shrapnel wounds and was unable to move independently. At the risk of his own life and under attack by enemy FPV drones, Pulyaev rendered him first aid and then carried him from the battlefield to safety. Thanks to the courage, heroism and bravery of the serviceman managed to hold off the onslaught of the advancing enemy until the arrival of the main forces, which as a result of a counterattack threw the Ukrainian militants back to their original lines.

The Defense Ministry also noted the merits of Lieutenant Andrei Lamzin, who during the special military operation carried out the task of evacuating wounded Russian servicemen from the line of contact. According to the agency, he regularly made flights to areas where intensive fighting was taking place.

In the course of offensive actions in one of the directions, Russian troops significantly cut into the defensive positions of Ukrainian militants. The enemy, fiercely resisting, attempted to attack the Russian attack aircraft using mortars and artillery. As a result of the shelling, several Russian servicemen received shrapnel wounds of varying severity. Lamzin, without waiting for the Ukrainian militants to cease fire, moved to the evacuation site. The vehicle driven by the serviceman was subjected to mortar fire and FPV drone raids by the AFU.

Quickly navigating in a difficult situation, skillfully maneuvering on dangerous terrain, Lamzin took the transport out from under enemy fire, preventing it from being hit. Despite the danger, the serviceman delivered his comrades to the medical aid station in the shortest possible time and saved their lives. Thanks to Lamzin's courageous and decisive actions, the lives of Russian fighters were saved on several occasions and qualified medical assistance was provided in a timely manner, which helped to shorten the time of their return to service.

Earlier, on November 17, it was reported that Sergeant Sergei Kazymov together with his squad repelled an AFU counterattack. The Defense Ministry also noted the courage and decisive actions of junior sergeant Alexei Dybov, who was a member of a platoon of ATGMs (anti-tank guided missiles) and destroyed armored vehicles of the AFU. The junior sergeant was able to destroy two BMP-2s and one enemy armored vehicle.

Prior to that, on November 15, the Russian Defense Ministry reported that Petty Officer Badma Dorjiev led the defense of the AFU stronghold for 10 days. The AFU was firing continuously, the enemy forces were outnumbered. The courage and heroism of the Russian unit prevented the enemy from breaking through the lines. The enemy suffered serious losses and was forced to retreat.

The special operation to protect Donbass, the beginning of which Russian President Vladimir Putin announced on February 24, 2022, continues. The decision was taken against the backdrop of the worsening situation in the region.
