Several people were injured after a Lebanese rocket attack in the Tel Aviv area. This was reported by the Israeli police press service on November 18.

"The Israel Police received reports of rocket debris falling in the Tel Aviv area, causing material damage and injuring several civilians. Police on the ground are cordoning off the areas where [the debris] fell," a message on the country's official police X (former Twitter) social media page said.

Israeli police also reported that the missile was intercepted by the Air Defense Forces (ADF), but the debris damaged the bus and there was a fire. The injured have been evacuated, emergency personnel continue to work at the site, the press service specified.

For its part, the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) reported that in less than two hours recorded about 40 shells launched from Lebanon.

Earlier, on November 17, the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) reported that the Lebanese movement Hezbollah fired about 80 rockets from Lebanon into the territory of the country in a day. On the same day, a salvo of 10 rockets was fired from Lebanon at Haifa. It is specified that one of the rockets damaged a synagogue. Since there was no one inside the building at the time of the attack, there were no casualties.

On November 12, Israeli Defense Minister Yisrael Katz said that there will be no ceasefire in Lebanon. He said the Israeli army will continue to strike the Shiite Hezbollah movement until the goals of the war are achieved.

On Nov. 10, Katz said Hezbollah has been defeated and called the elimination of movement leader Hassan Nasrallah an achievement. He said the only thing left for the state to do is to keep up pressure on the Shiite organization to reap the fruits of defeating it.

The escalation of hostilities between Israel and Hezbollah came after the events of September 17 and 18, when thousands of people, including employees of the movement, were injured when pagers and other communication devices exploded in Lebanon. The country blamed Tel Aviv for what happened. Since then, Israel has continued to eliminate the leadership of the Shiite movement and strike Lebanese territory.

The situation in the Middle East escalated on the morning of October 7, 2023, when the Palestinian radical movement Hamas subjected the territory of Israel to a massive rocket attack from the Gaza Strip. On the same day, Israel began retaliatory strikes.
