Syria's Armed Forces killed five militants as they attempted to infiltrate military positions

An attempt of a sabotage and reconnaissance group (DRG) of militants to infiltrate the military positions in the Kafer Ruma area was stopped by the Syrian Armed Forces (AF) in the Idlib de-escalation zone over the past 24 hours, killing at least five militants. This was announced at a briefing on November 18 by the deputy head of the Russian Center for Reconciliation of Enemy Parties in Syria (CRES), Captain First Rank Oleg Ignasyuk.

According to him, there are no casualties among the servicemen of the Syrian Arab Republic (SAR). At the same time, the terrorists have been thrown back to their original positions.

In addition, he said that during the day in the Syrian airspace the US-led coalition aviation allowed 14 violations, of which five times by a pair of F-15 fighters and twice by a pair of A-10 attack aircraft. The coalition also recorded three cases of violations of deconfliction protocols related to uncoordinated flights of unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) with the Russian side.

Earlier, on November 17, Ignasiuk said that three military personnel were injured in Syria due to a terrorist attack. It is reported that UAVs from the terrorists dropped explosive devices on the positions of the Syrian government forces in the area of the locality of Kursa of Aleppo province and in the area of the locality of Ruaiha.

Prior to that, on November 15, the CPLC reported 21 violations of the US-led coalition in the skies over Syria. In addition, it reported that three Syrian servicemen were wounded as a result of sniper fire from terrorists near the Kara Kilis locality of Latakia province.
