Air defense forces destroyed nine AFU drones over the territory of the Bryansk and Kursk regions

Air defense means destroyed eight Ukrainian drones over the territory of the Bryansk Region and one over the Kursk Region in 30 minutes. This was reported by the Russian Defense Ministry on November 18.

"From 19:40 to 20:10 Moscow time, an attempt by the Kiev regime to commit a terrorist attack with the use of aircraft-type UAVs on objects on the territory of the Russian Federation was suppressed," reads the message published in the Telegram-channel of the Ministry.

Shortly before that, the Defense Ministry reported about two downed unmanned aerial vehicles of Ukrainian militants over the Belgorod region and two - over the Bryansk region. It was specified that the terrorist attack was foiled between 19:10 and 19:25 Moscow time.

Earlier in the day, the defense ministry said that Russian air defense destroyed 59 Ukrainian drones over five regions of the Russian Federation last night. The drones were eliminated over the Moscow, Kursk, Bryansk, Belgorod and Tula regions.

The AFU is trying to strike Russian territories against the background of the special operation in Donbass, the start of which was announced on February 24, 2022. The decision was taken due to the aggravation of the situation in the region due to shelling by the Ukrainian military.
