Bus driver injured in drone attack in Belgorod region

The driver was injured in a drone attack on a passenger bus on a section of the highway Nikolskoye - Yasnye in Belgorod region. This was reported by Governor Vyacheslav Gladkov on Monday, November 18.

"The victim with a blind shrapnel wound of the leg is taken by the SMP brigade to the city hospital № 2 of Belgorod. Belgorod. All necessary assistance is provided," he wrote in his Telegram-channel.

In addition, in the village of Malinovka, the roof of a residential building was broken as a result of a drone attack. In the village of Gruzskoye, as a result of attacks by two unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs), windows were broken, the roof and fence of a private house were cut.

Another strike on a moving car occurred in the village of Baitsury - a vehicle was damaged there. Information about the consequences is being clarified.

Earlier on Monday, Gladkov reported that UAVs of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) attacked a factory in the town of Shebekino. According to preliminary data, there are no casualties due to the attack.

Also on November 18, the Defense Ministry reported that Russian air defense forces destroyed 59 Ukrainian drones overnight over five Russian regions. The drones were eliminated over the Moscow, Kursk, Bryansk, Belgorod and Tula regions.

The AFU is trying to strike Russian territories against the background of the special operation in Donbass, the start of which was announced on February 24, 2022. The decision was taken due to the aggravation of the situation in the region due to shelling by the Ukrainian military.
