There are 4.22 million individual entrepreneurs in Russia, of which 1.75 million are women. The share of female entrepreneurship among IEs has been relatively stable in recent years and amounts to 41.5%. At the same time, since the beginning of the year about 317 thousand IEs have been created by Russian women. This is stated in the results of the research of the SME Corporation, which is timed to coincide with the Day of Women's Entrepreneurship. "Izvestia" got acquainted with the data of the corporation on November 19.

As self-employed, 4.96 million women - 44.5% of the total number of self-employed citizens - carry out activities.

"Since the beginning of the year, women have created about 317 thousand IEs. The growth of interest is observed in such areas as employment and recruitment (+32%), construction (+30%), IT (+29%). The average age of business since registration for female entrepreneurs is five years nine months, the average annual income - 5.3 million rubles. Men - six years three months and 7.3 million rubles respectively," said Alexander Isaevich, Director General of SME Corporation.

He also added that female IEs more often receive state support - almost every second. This is due to the fact that Russian women are more willing to share their experience of applying for such measures and are therefore more knowledgeable. The share of support recipients among men is 7-10% lower.

According to experts' information, most women IE in such industries as provision of social services (83%), other personal services (77%), clothing production (71%), travel agency activities (70%), education (69%), activities in the field of law and accounting (65%), production of textile products (63%), insurance (60%), veterinary activities (60%), employment and recruitment activities (59%) and others.

Among the self-employed Russian women are mainly engaged in such spheres as manicure and pedicure (99%), cosmetology (97%), they also work as nannies (97%), stylists and hairdressers (92%), are engaged in tailoring (91%). The smallest share is among car mechanics (3%), plumbers (4%), repairers of household appliances (4%).

At the same time, the most experienced businesswomen are over 100 years old - there are three IEs and two self-employed. At the same time, among girls under 35 years are engaged in business 446 thousand IE and 2.4 million self-employed.
