Sales of electric cars have fallen sharply in Russia


In October, 1,387 new electric vehicles (BEVs) were sold in Russia, which is 20.5% less than a year earlier. This was reported by Avtostat Info on November 18.
In the first ten months of this year, 15.7 thousand electric cars were sold in Russia, which is almost 5 thousand units more than at the end of the same period last year. As analysts noted, sales of electric cars in the Russian Federation exceeded the market of diesel cars.
The best-seller in the segment is Zeekr 001, but in October, sales of the model year-on-year fell noticeably - from 538 to 470 units. The result of "Moskvich 3e" for the month increased from 117 to 196 units, the crossover came in second place in the rating of electric cars. The top three in October was closed by the Zeekr X crossover, sales of which decreased from 125 to 75 units by last year.
The top ten best-selling electric cars in mid-autumn were completed by Ora 03, Zeekr 007, Xiaomi SU7, Zeekr 009, as well as Amberavto A5, Avatr 11 and Ora IQ.
On October 24, the Chinese company JAC announced that it is studying the Russian electric car market with the prospect of bringing a new model to it - the city hatchback E30X. Now JAC E30X is officially presented on the market of Belarus. The electric car is equipped with a 136-horsepower electric motor and is able to travel up to 405 or 505 km.
