The governor reported the destruction of an AFU aerial bomb in the border region of Kursk Oblast

Air Defense Forces (ADF) have shot down an aerial bomb of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) in the border area of Kursk Region. This was reported by Governor Alexei Smirnov on Monday, November 18.

"A guided aerial bomb of the AFU was shot down in the border area of the Kursk region," he wrote in his Telegram-channel, thanking the air defense fighters.

Before that, the head of the region reported about the missile danger.

Earlier in the day, the Defense Ministry reported that Russian air defense means overnight destroyed 59 Ukrainian drones over five regions of the Russian Federation. The drones were eliminated over the Moscow, Kursk, Bryansk, Belgorod and Tula regions.

Ukraine 's armed forces are trying to strike Russian territories against the backdrop of the special operation in Donbass, the start of which was announced on February 24, 2022. The decision was taken due to the aggravation of the situation in the region due to shelling by the Ukrainian military.
