Political analyst says US involvement in escalation between DPRK and South Korea

This is how he responded to a request to comment on the words of DPRK Chairman Kim Jong-un about the need for the Korean People's Army (KPA) to ensure full readiness for war. He condemned the US actions on the Korean Peninsula, which lead to the aggravation of the situation due to the strengthening of military power and the expansion of alliances. Kim Jong-un noted the importance of training military battalions and their role in strengthening the country's military power, emphasizing the need for the armed forces to be fully prepared for armed conflict.

"The call is due to the escalation of relations between South Korea and the DPRK in recent months. It is organized by the US. They have been supplying arms to South Korea for many years, provoking tension in the region," Yaroshenko noted.

The political analyst expressed the opinion that the words of the DPRK chairman indicate that the country is preparing to defend its sovereignty, which for several years, even decades, the United States has been trying to undermine through South Korea, pumping it with weapons.

Back on Nov. 5, Kim Yo-jong, deputy department director of the central committee of the Workers' Party of Korea's central committee, said that violating the parity of power on the Korean Peninsula would lead to war. Kim Jong-un's sister recalled the record number of US strategic deployments in the region recently, including the visit of a nuclear-powered aircraft carrier.

Before that, on August 3, the DPRK Foreign Ministry accused the US of provoking a nuclear crisis and escalating the security situation because of Washington and Seoul's Iron Mace military exercise on nuclear operation simulating comprehensive nuclear warfare, which took place from July 30 to August 1 at the US military base in Pyeongtaek, Gyeonggi Province, South Korea. The legend of the training was the "use of nuclear weapons" by Pyongyang.
