More than 340 thousand people visited the open-air museum on Red Square

This year the open-air museum on Red Square was visited by 342 thousand people. It worked from November 7 to 10, said Deputy Mayor of the capital Natalia Sergunina.
The exhibition was dedicated to the 83rd anniversary of the 1941 military parade. In the center of Moscow placed five installations related to the significant events in the lives of Muscovites during the Great Patriotic War. 300 volunteers helped with the organization of the event.
"The interactive museum for the anniversary of the parade on Red Square has already become an important tradition for Moscow. It reminds about the heroic pages of the history of our city and country", - said Sergunina.
On a large screen 150 meters long the chronicles of the military parades of 1941 and 1945, photos of soldiers of the "Immortal Regiment" and frames of the animated project "Defenders of Moscow - fighters" were broadcast.
Another screen was placed on the facade of the mock-up of the Khudozhestvenny movie theater, where screenings continued to be held even during the war. The movies "The defeat of the German troops near Moscow", "Front Friends", "1941 Film Concert", "The Adventure of Korzinkina", "Chapaev with us" were shown there.
Nearby, a two-story stage was set up, designed to look like the Vladimir Mayakovsky Moscow Academic Theater (in the 1940s it was called the Theater of Revolution). The venue hosted immersive performances: 300 artists and students of creative universities introduced the audience to the real stories of the inhabitants of that time.
Part of the exhibition was a streetcar that ran through the capital in those years, as well as military equipment of the Great Patriotic War, including an I-16 fighter plane, anti-aircraft gun, T-60 tank, caterpillar tractor, armored car.
In addition, residents and guests of the capital could visit the expositions dedicated to the defense of Moscow and the feat of home front workers.
