The State Duma proposed to introduce a four-day working week for large families

A four-day working week for parents with many children should be introduced in Russia. This was stated by Boris Chernyshov, vice-speaker of the State Duma of the Russian Federation, on November 18.

He explained this proposal by the fact that parents with many children often have to leave work. If a four-day working week is introduced, adults will be able to use working time more effectively. They will also have the opportunity to go with the child to the doctor or come to the matinee.

"That's when you have children, you will realize that being with children is not always a day off. It is a large number of worries, problems and other things," - said Chernyshov in conversation with 360.ru.

Earlier, on October 8, it was reported that since the beginning of 2024 in the Moscow region about 1.7 thousand large families have received free land plots. Their area ranges from 10 to 15 hectares. The land can be used for individual housing construction, personal subsidiary farming or for gardening. In lieu of land it is possible to receive a payment of 400 thousand rubles.
