A pensioner who hit a pensioner on rollerblades was sentenced to a year of restricted freedom

A court in Moscow sentenced to one year of restricted freedom a man who caught a dog leash on roller skates and knocked down an 88-year-old pensioner. This was reported by Izvestia correspondent from the courtroom on Monday, November 18.

The verdict has not entered into legal force.

In court, the defendant pleaded guilty to the death of the woman, whom he hit in May 2024. The pensioner received a severe head injury, was hospitalized, but died without regaining consciousness. The defendant apologized to the daughters of the deceased.

The incident occurred on May 22 of this year. In one of the Moscow parks, a man on rollerblades caught on a dog's leash and knocked down an 88-year-old pensioner.

The situation was taken under control by the prosecutor's office.
