The fact that Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, whose term of office expired on 20 May, was not invited to the Group of Twenty (G20) summit in Rio de Janeiro is one of the signals that countries are distancing themselves from him. This will continue to happen. In the very near future, Zelensky will no longer be in demand. This opinion was shared by Roman Kovalenko, political scientist and chairman of the executive committee of the Other Ukraine international movement, in a conversation with Izvestia on November 18.

"Undoubtedly, this is one of these signals. The situation in the world has changed a bit as far as the attitude towards our country is concerned. Everyone now wants to negotiate sharply with us, to talk about something. Therefore, with the same force and speed as they turn their face to us, they will turn the other way to the "expired" Zelensky. This is unambiguous," he said.

According to Kovalenko, in the very near future Zelensky will no longer be in demand. Many world political leaders, such as German Chancellor Olaf Scholz and French President Emmanuel Macron, have been publicizing themselves at his expense, the expert pointed out.

"From Zelensky will turn away, further and further distance themselves from him," - emphasized the political scientist.

The day before it became known that Zelensky was not invited to the G20 summit in Rio de Janeiro. This was reported by Scholz and called the absence of the President of Ukraine at the meeting a serious challenge. He noted that he made a lot of efforts for Zelensky to visit the summit, but it will not happen.

Earlier, on November 9, Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov said that the West's attempts to "Ukrainianize the agenda" of the G20 meeting had failed.

The G20 summit will be held on November 18-19 in the capital of Brazil and will be devoted to "building a just world and a sustainable planet." The Russian delegation will be headed by Lavrov. Last year, one of the results of the negotiations was the expansion of the G20 membership to include the African Union.
