The court announced the verdict of the defendants accused of embezzlement of funds of bankrupt YuzhUralZHASO

The court announced the verdict to four members of a criminal group, accused of embezzling over 389 thousand rubles from the funds of the bankrupt Ural insurance company YuzhuralZhaso. This is reported by the correspondent of "Izvestia" from the courtroom on November 18.

Ex-general director of Yuzhuralzhaso Vitaly Snezhko and Larisa Mozgovaya and Natalia Komarova, who were responsible for accounting and financial operations in the company, as well as the former beneficiary of the insurance company Moskovia Evgeny Tutoraitis are charged under Part 4 Article 160 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("Embezzlement committed by an organized group or on a particularly large scale").

The state prosecution requested 8.5 to 14 years of imprisonment for the defendants. Snezhko and Tutoraitis were sentenced to five years of general regime, the court left the defendants in custody.

Mozgova was sentenced to six years of general regime, and Komarova - to eight years, while she was credited with house arrest and prohibition of certain actions, established in April. Both former accountants of Yuzhuralzhaso were taken into custody in the courtroom.

In addition, the court ruled to recover 373 thousand rubles from all defendants in favor of Yuzhuralzhaso.

Earlier in the day, a Moscow court sentenced three participants of the organized criminal association (OPS), who stole more than 10 billion rubles from the failed banks Agrosoyuz and Inkarobank, to 14-17 years in prison. The defendants were charged under part 4 of article 159 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("Fraud on an especially large scale"), as well as part 1 of article 210 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("Organization of a criminal association with participation in it for the purpose of committing one or more grave or especially grave crimes").
