Vilfand reported a sharp change in the weather in Moscow from November 21

On Thursday, November 21, residents of the capital are expecting a sharp change in the weather. Roman Vilfand, the scientific head of the Russian Hydrometeorological Center, told "Izvestia" on November 18.
"The fact is that the cyclone goes to the east, and to the western borders of our country is approaching not just a cyclone, but the most powerful cyclone. Moscow will be in a well-defined low-pressure trough. The pressure will fall again, on Thursday it will be quite low", - said the expert.
Thus, in the capital is expected to first increase in temperature, which will be replaced by the passage of a cold frontal section and lowering the thermometer columns by 5-6 degrees. At the end of the week in the city will come noticeable precipitation - rain, wet snow and sleet.
"All the same, the temperature background will be around and above normal. This weather is normal, warm, but there will no longer be such abnormally hot weather, which is completely uncharacteristic of November," concluded Vilfand.
Earlier, on November 18, an expert of the information agency "Meteonovosti" Tatyana Pozdnyakova told "Izvestia" that from Saturday, November 23, the weather in the capital will acquire the features of winter, and then the snow cover will begin to be established. The forecaster noted that it is still unclear whether it will become permanent.
