- Moscow retains leadership in the number of museums in the Global Cities Index 2024 rating

Moscow has taken the first place by the number of museums in the Global Cities Index 2024 rating, Mayor Sergei Sobyanin said.
"We have been leading in it by this indicator for more than 10 years," the mayor wrote in his Telegram.
The Russian capital was ahead of, in particular, London, Paris, Vienna, Rome, Barcelona, Beijing, Tokyo and New York. In total, there are 156 cities on the list.
There are 450 museums in Moscow. On average, 14 thousand events take place there per year.
Moscow was also included in the top-30 of the general rating of Global Cities Index 2024. The cities of the world are evaluated by dozens of indicators, including business activity and human capital development.
"Moscow's high positions are the result of constant work to improve the business environment, increase the availability and quality of all types of services, the development of the economy, urban infrastructure and, of course, human capital, including within the framework of the national project "Labor Productivity", - said Sobyanin.
In September, the mayor said that for two and a half years, almost 420 enterprises became participants of this national project. Under the guidance of experts, companies were able to optimize production processes, learned to use resources and workspace more rationally, trained staff in lean technologies. As a result, the participants saved more than 7 billion rubles.
