Russia has been conducting a special military operation to protect civilians in Donbas since February 24, 2022. The Defense Ministry reported that soldiers of the Center group of forces liberated the village of Novoalekseevka in the DNR. The enemy lost more than 500 servicemen there.

In addition, in this direction, Russian forces repelled 11 counterattacks by assault groups of the 23rd, 151st mechanized, 71st, 152nd jaeger brigades of the Ukrainian forces and the assault brigade "Lyut" of the National Police of Ukraine.

Also, operational-tactical aviation, attack drones, missile troops and artillery of the groups of troops of the Armed Forces (AF) of the Russian Federation hit the infrastructure of military airfields, energy facilities that support the activities of the military-industrial complex of Ukraine, training sites for UAV operators and drone storage depots, as well as concentrations of enemy manpower and military equipment in 135 areas.

In total, 648 aircraft, 283 helicopters, 36,174 unmanned aerial vehicles, 586 anti-aircraft missile systems, 19,369 tanks and other armored combat vehicles, 1,490 multiple rocket launchers, 18,125 field artillery and mortars, 28,492 units of special military vehicles have been destroyed since the beginning of the special military operation.
