Russian military liberated the village of Novoalekseevka in the DNR

Soldiers of the Center group of forces have liberated the village of Novoalekseevka in the Donetsk People's Republic. This was reported by the Defense Ministry on November 18.

"Defeat was inflicted on manpower and equipment of the 54th, 100th mechanized, 142nd infantry brigades of the AFU (Armed Forces of Ukraine. - Ed.) and the 116th brigade of the Tera Defense in the areas of the settlements of Dzerzhinsk, Voznesenka and Ukrainka in the Donetsk People's Republic," the report said.

The enemy lost more than 500 servicemen in the fighting, the ministry added in the summary.

A day earlier, the Defense Ministry reported the liberation of the settlements of Leninskoye and Makarovka in the DNR. In addition, the Ukrainian energy facilities used to support the enemy's actions, the infrastructure of the military airfield, production workshops and storage sites for drones were hit.

Before that, on November 16, fighters of the Center group took control of the village of Stepanovka in the region. Before that, on November 14, the Russian Armed Forces liberated the settlement of Voznesenka in the DNR.

The special operation to protect Donbass, the start of which was announced by Russian President Vladimir Putin on February 24, 2022, continues. The decision was made against the backdrop of the aggravated situation in the region.
