There was a fire in the central city hospital № 3 in Yekaterinburg. This was reported on Monday, November 18, by the press service of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia.
The flames engulfed the roof of the administrative building on the territory of the hospital. The footage from the scene shows thick black smoke coming from there.
48 rescuers and 16 units of equipment are working at the site. They localized the fire on the territory of 300 square meters. m.
The evacuation of visitors and patients of the medical institution is being carried out. 350 people left the building on their own. Some people jumped from the windows of the burning hospital to the roofs of adjacent buildings, helping each other to get down from there.
Earlier, on November 15, a fire broke out in a private house in Odintsovo, where a branch of a women's charity organization is located, injuring five people, including three children. A neighbor noticed the fire and managed to get 15 children and five adults outside. The Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations reported that one of the versions of the fire was a short circuit of an electric heater.
A criminal case has been opened on the fact of the fire on the grounds of a crime under Article 168 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("Destruction and damage to property through negligence").
