The weather forecaster reported temperatures above the climatic norm this week in Moscow

Almost all the week, from November 18 to 24, the temperature background will be above the climatic norm by 5 degrees Celsius in Moscow and the Moscow region. At the beginning of the week precipitation, mainly rain, is expected. This was reported to "Izvestia" on November 18 by leading specialist of the information agency "Meteonovosti" Tatyana Pozdnyakova.

"Almost all the week the background temperature will be above the climatic norm by five degrees. But what concerns the weather, it will be different. At the beginning of the week, up to and including Wednesday, we will still have a predominance of precipitation, it will be mostly rain, because both night and daytime temperatures we will be positive. Today, November 18, we expect the temperature to rise to +5...+6 degrees. We will be in the warm sector of the Atlantic cyclone. On Tuesday and Wednesday this situation will continue. One cyclone will leave, and then, as they say, the weather will be determined by the next Atlantic cyclone. On Thursday, our atmospheric pressure will be very low, at night we will have small precipitation, and in the afternoon we will have a lot of it, and it will be rain," she said.

According to her, weakly negative temperature values are possible in the night hours of Thursday, during the day they will remain at +4...+6 degrees. The weather will be quite windy, because the atmospheric pressure will start to increase intensively in the next days.

The forecaster warned that on Friday, November 22, precipitation - rain and snow - is expected at times at night. Small to moderate precipitation is also predicted during the day, rain will alternate with wet snow, because the temperature during the night hours will be around 0, and during the daytime hours - weakly positive.

"Still for now we will be under the influence of southerly flows. The south wind will be quite dense, 6-11 m/s. But on Saturday, November 23, already the character of the weather will change. It will acquire more and more features of winter character. One of the centers of the cyclone will be almost near the Moscow region, so the weather will be cloudy. We expect snow, wet snow, in some places heavy, and the air temperature is practically about 0 during all days. The wind will already change to north-western", - concluded Pozdnyakova.

Earlier, on November 12, she said that this winter season in Moscow will be warm, with excess precipitation expected in December and January. She specified that in these months the air temperature in the capital is expected to be 1-3 degrees above normal.
