Water heater was the cause of a fire with five deaths in the Novosibirsk region


Emergency mode of operation of a water heater was the cause of a fire in the Novosibirsk region, in which a mother and four children died. This was reported on November 18 by the head of the main department of the Ministry of Emergency Situations in the region Viktor Orlov during an operational meeting.
"The cause of the fire in the Kupinsky district - a design flaw in the manufacture of electrical equipment, emergency mode of operation of the water heater. This <...> is <...> preliminary information," local newspaper Novaya Sibir quoted him as saying.
The fire occurred in a private house in the village of Novoselye in the Kupinsky district the previous morning. According to the Investigative Department of the Investigative Committee of Russia (ICR) in the Novosibirsk region, the dead children were aged between six and 12 years old. The father and his two sons were able to escape from the hearth of the fire.
It is specified that on the fact of the incident initiated a criminal case under part 3 of article 109 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("Causing death by negligence of two or more persons").
Earlier, on November 12, in the town of Chulym in the Novosibirsk region in a fire in a private house killed a four-year-old child. It was specified that another child rescued from the burning building was in intensive care.
