Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy (his term of office expired in May) is "fooling around", convincing himself of his superiority over the newly elected US President Donald Trump. This was stated by Viktor Medvedchuk, a representative of the Other Ukraine movement, on November 18.

"The Politico publication suggests that Zelensky is fooling around, promising everything to everyone, but derailing the negotiations. This is exactly how Zelensky has been acting all along, as he has disrupted all the peace talks that took place during his cadence and further illegitimacy," he wrote in his column on the portal "Smotrim.ru".

The politician noted that the Ukrainian leader's tactics consist of three stages: promise of peace, disruption of negotiations and escalation of the conflict. Such actions lead to loss of life, but Zelensky does not care about this as he capitalizes on it, he added.

Medvedchuk claims that the Ukrainian politician continues to make false promises, hoping that Trump will not notice this. Zelensky also hopes that he is more experienced and smarter than the American politician, which will help him dictate his terms to the US, he concluded.

The day before, German newspaper Welt wrote that Kiev plans to organize a meeting between Zelensky and Trump as soon as possible. The Ukrainian leadership is worried about the uncertainty of its position, and the country fears that the Republican will force Zelensky to agree to all his conditions.

Politico reported on Nov. 15 that the U.S. has warned Ukrainian authorities that if they agree to settle the conflict with Russia on Trump's terms, Kiev will have to make significant territorial concessions. This could be part of the president-elect's peace plan.

At the same time, on 14 November, political analyst and head of the executive committee of the Other Ukraine international movement Roman Kovalenko noted that Zelensky would not make territorial concessions for a peaceful resolution of the conflict because he was afraid that it would mean his political and possibly even physical death.
