A man extorting money from a teenager was detained in St. Petersburg

Police of Petrodvortsovy district of St. Petersburg detained a man who extorted money from a 15-year-old teenager. This was reported on November 18 in the Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs in the city and the Leningrad region.

It is specified that the day before about 16:00 in the city of Lomonosov three unknown persons put the teenager in the car and demanded from him 30 thousand rubles. The young man asked to get out of the vehicle to call his mother and ran away. The teenager's mother appealed to the police. Later, the 24-year-old suspect was detained on hot tracks.

"The detainee was taken to the police department for proceedings," - stated in the Telegram-channel of the department.

At the current moment the question of instituting criminal proceedings against the detained man is being resolved.

Earlier, on November 12, the police detained three false operatives in Moscow, who extorted 1 million rubles from a visitor of a bar on Arbat. A criminal case under part 2 of article 163 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("Extortion") was initiated, the defendants were taken into custody for the duration of the investigation.
