Defense Ministry reported 59 destroyed UAVs over five Russian regions

Air defense means destroyed 59 drones of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) overnight over five regions of the Russian Federation. This was reported by the Russian Defense Ministry on November 18.

It is specified that the drones were eliminated over the Moscow, Kursk, Bryansk, Belgorod and Tula regions.

"Two unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) were destroyed over the territory of the Moscow region, 45 UAVs were destroyed over the territory of the Bryansk region, six - over the territory of the Kursk region, three - over the territory of the Belgorod region and three - over the territory of the Tula region," the press service informed in the Telegram channel of the ministry.

Earlier, on November 17, the Defense Ministry reported about drones and uncrewed boats of the AFU destroyed in Russia. It is specified that the boats were traveling in the direction of the Crimean peninsula.

The armed forces of Ukraine are trying to strike Russian territories against the background of the special operation in Donbass, the beginning of which was announced on February 24, 2022. The decision was taken due to the aggravation of the situation in the region due to shelling by the Ukrainian military.
