Farmers from Wales held a mass protest against the policies of British Prime Minister Keir Starmer, threatening their business and livelihood. This was reported by Sky News TV channel on November 17.

The cause of discontent was a new tax of 20% on the inheritance of agricultural land worth more than £1 million, which was announced by Starmer's government after coming to power. If passed, the tax bill will affect two-thirds of the country's agriculturalists.

The rally was held in the north Wales town of Llandudno outside the building where the Labour Party conferences are held. Hundreds of people took part in the protests, some arriving on farm tractors.

Earlier it became known about the farm protests in France. Protesters blocked with tractors the highway leading to the French capital in protest against the free trade agreement between the European Union (EU) and with the South American Common Market ("Mercosur"), which may be signed at the G20 summit in Brazil opening on Monday.
