Two people killed and 10 injured in two shooting incidents in the US

Two people were killed, 10 injured in two shooting incidents in the United States. This was reported on November 17 by the TV channel CNN.
According to the New Orleans Police Department, two shootings during a parade in New Orleans on Sunday left two people dead and 10 others injured.
"There are two separate shooting events. They occurred 45 minutes apart," Superintendent Ann Kirkpatrick stated.
It is noted that there was an additional police presence at the scene, but that did not prevent the two incidents from occurring.
"Apparently a vehicle was involved in the incident ... And shots rang out through the crowd," Kirkpatrick said, adding that the first incident resulted in nine people being injured and taken to hospitals.
About 45 minutes later, another burst of gunfire erupted on the bridge, she said. According to police, two people were killed as a result, with another "in extremely critical condition."
It is specified that it is not yet clear whether the shootings are related.
Earlier. Oct. 31, the private U.S. health fund Commonwealth Fund reported that shooting deaths in several U.S. states are close to data from conflict zones. Gun death rates in Mississippi, Alabama, Louisiana and New Mexico were higher than in Mexico, where there is an armed struggle between drug cartels. And a similar rate in Montana was higher than in Colombia, also known for high levels of gun violence. The rate of gun deaths in New Jersey was higher than in Mali in Africa, where authorities are battling Tuareg rebels.
