In Moscow detained a previously convicted resident of Moscow region, who is accused of stealing a backpack in the subway. This was reported on November 18 by the official representative of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia Irina Volk.

"According to available data, a 60-year-old resident of the capital left at the station "VDNKh", leaving on a seat in the carriage her backpack, which contained things valuable to her. Among them are various jewelry made of precious metals, new clothes, as well as more than 87 thousand rubles in foreign currency," - wrote Volk in her Telegram-channel.

The investigator of the Department of Internal Affairs at the Moscow Metro opened a criminal case under Article 158 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("Theft").

According to Volk, law enforcers have established the identity of the intruder. He was detained in an apartment in the northeast of Moscow.

Law enforcement officers seized part of the stolen property, things will be returned to the owner. The defendant was charged and chosen a measure of restraint in the form of subscription on not leaving and proper behavior.

Earlier, on November 15, law enforcers found in Crimea two underage residents of Moscow, who stole a cat from a pet store in the capital, and then ran away from home on the peninsula. As a result of the search, employees of the Department of Internal Affairs in the Southern district established the location of the girls aged 10 and 12 years old and passed the information to the republican Ministry of Internal Affairs.
