A woman died after plastic surgery in one of the clinics in the Ryazan region. This was reported on Monday, November 18, in the press service of the Department of the Investigative Committee (IC) of Russia in the region.

"The husband of the deceased stated that the doctor, at the hands of which his wife died, continues to engage in medical activities. It was also reported about another patient of the clinic, who suffered as a result of manipulations of the same specialist," - said in a statement in the Telegram-channel of the department.

The IC is investigating two criminal cases on the provision of services that do not meet safety requirements (Art. 238 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation).

The progress of the investigation is put on control in the central office of the agency, specified there.

Earlier, on November 1, it became known about the death of a St. Petersburg woman after surgery in the St. Petersburg Department of the Investigative Committee (IC) of Russia. It specified that the woman had liposuction on October 31, and she died in the morning the next day. TV channel "78" added that the operation lasted more than eight hours, the patient was pumped out 6.2 liters of detritus and removed 676 grams of excess skin.

Subsequently, the Investigative Committee opened a criminal case after the death of the St. Petersburg woman under paragraph "c" of part 2 of article 238 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("Provision of services that do not meet safety requirements"). The agency added that doctors carried out resuscitation measures, but were unable to save their patient.
