In Kamchatka Krai, criminal proceedings were initiated against the former head doctor of the Central Regional Hospital

In Kamchatka Krai criminal cases of abuse of power have been initiated against the former chief physician of Milkovsky district hospital. This was reported by the regional department of the Investigative Committee (IC) of Russia on November 18.

According to preliminary data, the chief doctor from January to February 2023 and from February to March 2024 exceeded his official powers. He illegally demanded and received from one of the employees of the medical institution a part of the bonus received and belonging to her.

In total, the subordinate handed over to the head 35 thousand rubles.

A criminal case under article 286 part 3 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation has been instituted. The investigation is being conducted with the participation of employees of the FSB Department of Russia in Kamchatka Krai.

The law enforcers noted that earlier a criminal case on taking a bribe on a particularly large scale was initiated against the defendant. The doctor was taken into custody, the investigation continues.

Earlier, on October 17, a criminal case was opened against a resident of Kamchatka, who fictitiously registered 60 migrants in her apartment. The Kamchatka resident faces up to three years of imprisonment. At the moment, the woman has been chosen a measure of restraint in the form of a signature on non-departure and proper behavior.
