Sobyanin reported about the destroyed UAV on the approach to Moscow

Air defense forces have foiled an attempted attack by the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) using an unmanned aerial vehicle flying towards Moscow. This was reported by Mayor Sergei Sobyanin on November 18.

"The Defense Ministry's air defense forces in Pavlovo-Posad city district shot down one drone flying towards Moscow," the head of the city wrote in his Telegram channel.

Sobyanin added that emergency services are working at the scene.

Shortly before that, Sergei Sobyanin said that in the Ramenskiy urban district was repelled the attack of a drone flying to Moscow. There was no damage or casualties.

The armed forces of Ukraine are trying to strike Russian territories against the background of the special operation in Donbass, the beginning of which was announced on February 24, 2022. The decision was taken due to the aggravation of the situation in the region due to shelling by the Ukrainian military.
