Russian artillerymen destroyed an AFU mortar on the Kakhovka direction

The servicemen of the Dnipro group of troops using 122-mm towed D-30 howitzers destroyed a mortar of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) in the Kakhovskoye direction. This was reported by the Russian Defense Ministry on November 18.
The Russian military promptly made a fire correction, then hit the target in a few shots, then quickly rolled up and camouflaged the gun.
"There is no foliage, so we have to camouflage the cannon as much as possible <...> so that there is nothing extra. No suspicion was aroused <...> We are trying to look for any bushes where we can bury ourselves so that it will not be visible," said the platoon commander with the call sign Volga.
According to the agency, the work of the artillerymen is carried out in close contact with unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) calculations. Reconnaissance drones detect shelters, military equipment and AFU personnel, after which they transmit the coordinates to the D-30 howitzer unit, which subsequently successfully hit the target.
The D-30 howitzer crews work in a coordinated manner and regularly carry out the assigned firing tasks to destroy armored vehicles, firepower, ammunition depots and fortified positions, as well as AFU watercraft on the bank of the Dnieper.
Earlier, on November 17, the Russian Defense Ministry reported a strike by the Russian military against critical energy infrastructure facilities that supported the Ukrainian military-industrial complex, as well as military airfields, gas production facilities, a warehouse with UAVs and Ukrainian personnel.
