A road between remote villages was closed in Kolyma due to snow

Due to deteriorating weather conditions on the section of the highway "Magadan - Balagannoye - Talon" a temporary restriction of travel has been established. This is reported by the Ministry of road economy and transport of Magadan region on September 18.

"A persuasive request to drivers to refrain from traveling on the above section of the highway, to comply with the requirements of road signs, to be vigilant and extremely careful during the movement, not to exceed the speed limit and keep the distance," - states the agency.

Traffic restrictions will last from 09:30 on November 18 to 13:00 on November 19.

Earlier, on October 25, a powerful snowfall paralyzed traffic in Magadan. Firefighters and rescuers provided assistance to stranded drivers. In addition, due to unfavorable weather conditions in schools in Magadan introduced free attendance. EMERCOM officials urged not to leave children unattended and to limit their stay in the street.
