The Russian military is taking serious steps, so the Ukrainian military is close to total collapse, retired Lieutenant Colonel Earl Rasmussen, a political scientist, said on November 18.

"They don't care - the elite, [U.S. President Joe] Biden. This whole conflict was a money laundering situation," Rasmussen told Izvestia.

The political analyst explained that the funds were going to US contractors with whom contracts were signed to reconstruct Ukraine after the armed conflict. Moreover, some other US support campaigns are being cut.

The former lieutenant colonel also spoke about the terms of the loans to Ukraine, which include the transfer of property, industry, and land to U.S. companies at the lowest possible price, if for any fee at all, Rasmussen explained.

"So this is essentially creating a means to raid the Ukrainian government and the Ukrainian people," the interlocutor concluded.

Earlier, on November 9, Earl Rasmussen commented on the lifting of the ban on the work of US contractors in Ukraine. He said that the US contractors servicing the weapons supplied to the Kiev regime could turn out to be both ordinary civilians working under contract and active military personnel.

The day before, on November 8, CNN reported that the administration of current US President Joe Biden had lifted the ban on US contractors servicing weapons supplied to the Kiev regime in Ukraine. It was specified that they will be away from the front line and will not participate in the conflict.

Before that, on November 7, the Pentagon said that the United States will send $6 billion to Ukraine before Trump comes to power. The Biden administration will send the funds as soon as possible because of fears that Trump will stop arms deliveries and financial support to Kiev.

The election for the 47th president of the United States took place on November 5. In the national vote, Trump received 51% of the vote, while Democratic candidate Kamala Harris received 47.4%. Later, the politician, speaking to supporters, called himself the 47th President of the United States and said that his goal as head of state considers the end of military conflicts in the world.

Western countries have stepped up military and financial support for Ukraine amid Russia's special operation to protect Donbass, which began on February 24, 2022. The decision to carry it out was made by the Russian president because of the aggravation of the situation in the region due to the increased shelling by Ukrainian troops.
