Famous Italian singer Al Bano dreams of performing in Donbass and on Red Square to call everyone to peace. This he stated in an exclusive interview with Izvestia.

"Even if <military operation> goes far away from us, psychologically it is still hard for people. I am very much looking forward to the opportunity to sing in Donbass and on Red Square. I want to perform and call everyone to peace. My music always sings the feelings that should be obligatory for everyone: peace, love and all the best. I am in favor of striving for this," the musician noted.

He added that he is ready to give such concerts for free, because "it's the right thing to do".

Al Bano confirmed his warm feelings for Russia and recalled that he personally met with the leaders of our country several times.

"My love for Russia is sacred and inviolable. <...> And I still remember the meeting with [Russian President Vladimir] Putin in 1986 in Leningrad. And I will never forget the words he said to me. I also remember meeting Putin and [former Russian President Boris] Yeltsin in 2004, when I sang in the Kremlin with the Moscow Symphony Orchestra. Those were special moments. We also saw each other in Budapest," the musician said.
